The summer hit returns for its sixth season, with Brenda Leigh even more frazzled than usual, as the Major Crimes Division moves into swanky new high-tech digs. Still, she goes after her prey the old-fashioned way. Fans of female-driven procedurals may want to stay tuned for the premiere of Rizzoli & Isles (10/9c), starring Law & Order vet Angie Harmon and NCIS' Sasha Alexander as Boston crime solvers.
WHITE COLLAR(Tuesday, 9/8c, USA Network)
Last summer's breakout caper series returns, with rakish thief-turned-FBI consultant Neal Caffrey seeking answers to who blew up the jet containing his elusive girlfriend Kate. Meanwhile, there's a cunning bank robber called "The Architect" to take down. It's a big with for USA, with the premiere of the CIA romp Covert Affairs immediately following (10/9c), and on Wednesday, the fifth-season launch of Psych (10/9c).
KATHY GRIFFIN: MY LIFE ON THE D-LIST(Tuesday, 10/9c, Bravo)
The outspoken comedian, inspired by winning an Ally for Equality award from the Human Rights Campaign, takes Team Griffin to Washington, D.C. to rally against "Don't Ask Don't Tell." Has anyone ever successfully told Griffin "don't?" Not likely.
BIG BROTHER (Thursday, 8/7c, CBS)
The summer guilty pleasure airs its first live elimination episode — with plans to reveal the identity of the embedded "saboteur" who will collude all summer — or as long as this person stays in the house — with the TV audience to make life miserable for the rest of the houseguests.
