Legion Season 2 Gets Another Episode Because Time Has No Meaning

Not that we're complaining

Everything is expanding onLegion: minds, the universe, dance sequences and now the number of episodes.

Season 2's episode count has increased from 10 to 11, FX announced Tuesday. The trippy superhero drama's season finale will now air on Tuesday, June 12. Adjust your DVR accordingly.

It's unusual for a show as intricate as Legion to get more episodes while the season is airing (Season 2's fifth episode premieres tonight), but apparently Noah Hawley's imagination just can't be contained to ten episodes.

It's unclear if this means an entirely new episode was created from scratch or if upcoming episodes are being fleshed out so much that a new episode became necessary. But either way, we're not complaining about getting to spend more time in David Haller's (Dan Stevens) complicated mind.

Legion is based on a Marvel Comic by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz and created for TV by Noah Hawley.

Legion airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on FX.
