Lana Parrilla is making the move from on the screen to behind the camera this season onOnce Upon a Time. The actress will make her directorial debut in the 17th episode of Season 7!

Once Upon a Time creator and showrunner Adam Horowitz shared the exciting new on Twitter this afternoon, tweeting out a script tease with her name under the director header. The episode, titled "Chosen," doesn't have an air date yet, but it should land somewhere in April depending on ABC programming.

"I'm so honored for this opportunity and grateful to have my directorial debut on a show I call home!" Parrilla told TV Line in a statement. Parrilla is the first series regular to step behind the camera for the fairy tale series.

You can likely expect Episode 17 to have very little (if any at all) of Regina in it to allow Parrilla the time and energy to focus on directing the episode. Given the ensemble nature of the show though, it shouldn't be too jarring to part with Regina for one week.

Once Upon a Time returns March 2 at 8/7c on ABC.
