John Mayer may get a taste of his own big-mouth medicine when Jessica Simpson appears on an upcoming episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Though a rep for the show wouldn't confirm the date of Simpson's appearance, it's likely to be close to the March 15 premiere of her new VH1 series The Price of Beauty.

Will Simpson retaliate against Mayer, who referred to her as "sexual napalm" in a recent Playboy interview? "Knowing Oprah, I'm sure she'll ask Jessica her thoughts about John or her response to him," an insider told Life and Style. "It's up to Jessica how she'll respond. She's remaining tight-lipped on it at the moment."
