Mind. Blown.
The Good Place and Parks and Recreation have a lot more in common than the creative team and cast. In fact, it appears as though the two shows take place in the very same universe!
As Twitter user @ShinraAlpha points out, the preferred magazine of The Good Place's Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), Celebrity Baby Plastic Surgery Disasters, has featured back cover advertisements for a Dennis Feinstein (Jason Mantzoukas) cologne and a Jean-Ralphio (Ben Schwartz) champagne. And anyone who's familiar with the scum of Pawnee knows that Feinstein is the who's who of dirtbags in Parks and Rec with Jean-Ralphio being a (beloved) close second.
Are these ads likely just Easter eggs meant for the most observant fans of creator Mike Schur's work? Probably. But isn't it way more fun to envision Chidi (William Harper Jackson) debating Ron Swanson (Nick Offerman) on ethics? Or Tahani (Jameela Jamil) -- who would totally live in Eagleton, btw -- looking down on Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) for how inelegant her Harvest Festival was? Or Jason (Manny Jacinto) taking Andy Dwyer (Chris Pratt) for a night on the town (not to mention what Andy would do if he had a Janet [D'Arcy Carden] at his beck and call)?
Just discovered that The Good Place takes place in the Parks and Rec universe and now by whole brain is crying. pic.twitter.com/UjtJLSclrA

Of course, you soon run into the issues of double casting, with Bell playing both Eleanor in The Good Place and Ingrid on Parks, as well as other great actor crossovers like Adam Scott, who's best known for playing the lovable nerd Ben Wyatt on Parks, taking on the role of Bad Place ash-hole Trevor.
But don't be a Chidi and overthink this. Just enjoy the fantasy of all your favorite Good Place and Parks and Rec characters colliding, whether in our world or the afterlife. It's way more fun that way.
