We demand at least one Stars Hollow festival extravaganza!
Get ready for a year of Gilmore Girls...in a manner of speaking.
As announced last week, Netflix is teaming up with Amy Sherman-Palladino to revive the beloved series for only four episodes. Only four? Well, we know why we're only getting four of the 90-minute "mini movies."
Each installment of the revival will be set in a different season during one calendar year, TVLine reports. This means there will be one winter episode, one spring episode, one summer episode and one fall episode.
Go ahead, start fantasizing about seasonal fashion and at least one extravagant Stars Hollow festival. And who's to say the viewers can't dress up appropriately? From open-toed sandals to Uggs, we'll be there.
Why the Gilmore Girls reunion was better than the movie that's never going to happen
Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino will write and direct all four episodes, which will catch up with the characters in the present day (about eight years after we first said goodbye to the original series). Negotiations are reportedly getting started with main cast members Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson.
