Oops, Sophie Turner's Tattoo Kind of Did Spoil Game of Thrones

It's an inspiring quote... that was also very accurate

Warning: The following contains spoilers for the Game of Thronesseries finale, "The Iron Throne," which you should have watched already, but if you haven't, read at your own risk!

It turns out the answer to who survives Game of Thrones was written on Sophie Turner's arm for almost a year before the final season even began. In June of 2018, the actress got a tattoo of a Stark direwolf sigil with the quote, "The pack survives," underneath it. Turner told fans at the time not to read into it too much. It was just a quote from Ned Stark in Season 1 and repeated by Sansa in Season 7 that she wanted to live by.

Except now we've seen the final episode of the series, and it turns out the tattoo was extremely accurate. Each of the surviving Starks who went into Season 8 -- Sansa (Turner), Arya (Maisie Williams), Bran (Isaac Hempstead-Wright), and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) -- came out of the final war alive and relatively unscathed. The pack survived.

Game of Thrones Series Finale: A Fitting End, a Botched Journey

That's a pretty astounding fact when you consider that Game of Thrones made a sport of killing Starks for the first six seasons of the show. Almost half the family was wiped out by the end of Season 3, so it might be a bit of a surprise to see the remaining siblings survive the battle against the Night King's Army of the Dead, the attack on King's Landing, and the assassination of Daenerys (Emilia Clarke). Of all the things that happened in that finale, this is one spoiler we can be very happy about.
