For The People Casts The Originals Alum Charles Michael Davis

It's not his first trip through Shondaland though!

For the People is getting some fresh blood courtesy of The Originals alum Charles Michael Davis.

Deadline reports that Davis will play Ted, a new investigator in the public defender's office. There's no word yet on whose storyline he'll intersect with, but he'll be series regular, so here's hoping he gets to play in a lot of different sandboxes this season.

This won't actually be Davis' first time on the Shondaland rollercoaster. Back in 2013, he guest starred in Season 9 of Grey's Anatomy as Jason Meyers, a charming young resident who had the hots for Jo Wilson(Camilla Luddington). For those of you hoping for For the People to one day cross over with Grey's Anatomy, this casting news pretty soundly kills the possibility that the two shows exist in the same universe, unless Jason has a doppleganger working as a P.I. out there.

Davis is best known for his role as Marcel, the fearsome vampiric ruler of New Orleans French Quarter on The Originals and his current role as Zan, a smooth-talking editor, on Younger. He'll no doubt bring the same charm and wit of his previous characters to For the People.
