March 20's installment of mockumentary anthology Documentary Now! is called "Long Gone," and it's a riff on the classic music doc Let's Get Lost, about the turbulent life of jazz trumpeter Chet Baker. It stars co-creator Fred Armisen as jazz musician Rex Logan and features interviews with people close to him, including his girlfriend, vocalist Carla Meola (Russian Doll's Natasha Lyonne, who is Armisen's real-life girlfriend).

In this clip, Rex teaches a Muppet-esque puppet named Googy (also Armisen) about jazz during an awkward appearance on the Googy & Friends show, and then we meet Carla, who recalls the first time she saw Rex Logan.

"He was passed out, face-down, in a plate of spaghetti," she says. There were little bubbles in the sauce that showed he was still breathing, and then the waitress gave him a bendy straw to use as a snorkel. "And I thought, 'watch yourself, Carla,'" she says. "'There is something about this one.'"

"Long Gone" was filmed on location in Budapest and written by Saturday Night Live's Erik Kenward. Previous episodes of Documentary Now! Season 3 have featured a send-up of Broadway musicals written by John Mulaney & Seth Meyers and Cate Blanchett as a Marina Abramavic-style performance artist.

Documentary Now! airs Wednesdays at 11/10c on IFC. Previous seasons are available to stream on Netflix.
