Question: You made my day with that rumor about Mischa Barton possibly leaving The O.C. Her character is useless and she's not even that great an actress. Thanks for this wonderful news! Answer: Ironically, I was just warming up to Mischa. I think her acting has shown a lot of improvement since Season 1. Josh Schwartz was wise to turn Marissa into "Newport's Courtney Love," as Summer recently described her. Whereas before she was an annoying princess, now, like her mother, she's a bastion of comic relief. If she is going, I'll miss her. What's wrong with me?
