The series, which mercilessly skewers the genre, was created by The Daily Show alum Rob Corddry during the writers' strike of 2007—08, and streamed online at thewb.com in five-minute segments. Now graduated to Cartoon Network's late-night Adult Swim (where the initial shorts have been airing since July), Hospital begins a run of 12 original, 15-minute episodes on Sunday at 10:30/9:30c.Corddry stars as Blake Downs, a doctor who inexplicably always wears clown makeup. His costars include Megan Mullally (Will & Grace), Lake Bell (Boston Legal) and now the Fonz himself, Henry Winkler, who joins the cast as the ridiculously nice hospital administrator. "At the very least it is one of the greatest honors of my life [to work with] Henry Winkler, and he does not disappoint," says Corddry, who hopes that another Happy Days cast mate might make an appearance. "We're actually working on getting Anson Williams [Potsie]," he says. "I've got a great joke that will only work with Anson Williams... I'm not kidding."
