Carrie Preston Returns to The Good Wife for Season 6

Carrie Preston will reprise her Emmy-winning role as quirky lawyer Elsbeth Tascioni on Season 6 of The Good Wife, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

The number of episodes in which Preston will appear is unclear. In 2013, she won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for playing Elsbeth.

The True Blood actress has also booked a guest spot for Season 2 of HBO's Getting On, on which she'll play a cancer patient.

With True Blood's series finale fast approaching, Preston tells Entertainment Weekly she's hoping to land another series regular gig on a different show.

The Good Wife returns Sunday, Sept. 21 at 9/8c on CBS.
