Stop What You're Doing: There's a Breaking Bad Movie in the Works

But it's unclear if it will be a sequel or a prequel

If you need a distraction from the election, will the news that a Breaking Bad movie is in the works suffice? According to The Hollywood Reporter, creator Vince Gilligan is working on a two-hour film, though details are so scarce at this stage in the process we honestly don't know much of anything yet.

It's unclear whether the film, which is said to "follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom," will be released theatrically or if it's being made for television. We also don't know if the movie will be a follow-up to the acclaimed AMC series, which ended in 2013, or if it's another prequel, like the show's beloved spin-off Better Call Saul, which recently wrapped up its fourth season on AMC. THR's sources stress that the movie will be set within the Breaking Bad franchise though, but that does not confirm any of the show's original stars, including Emmy winners Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, will appear in the film.

Basically, all we know right now is that the movie -- which has apparently been floating around under the working title (or is it a fake title?) of Greenbrier -- is apparently in the works! This news should be more than enough to let you forget about the real world for a little bit, right?
