Actor Daryl "Chill" Mitchell — paralyzed from the waist down last November in a motorcycle accident — has been cast as a series regular on NBC's Ed, Variety reports. He'll play the new manager of Ed's bowling alley. Mitchell, best known for his roles on Veronica's Closet and The John Larroquette Show, can next be seen in Disney's The Country Bears movie, which he shot prior to the accident. It opens July 26.
