The CW Still Won't Bring Batman to Arrow or Any of Its Superhero Shows

Nor will he get his own series

Ever since The CW and DC hooked up to create a ton of superhero shows based on the latter's comic book empire, fans have been asking: When are we getting a Batman TV show on The CW? The Caped Crusader is arguably DC Comics' most popular superhero, after all (apologies, Superman), so it would make sense that The CW would at least explore the idea.

But sorry bat fans, it's not going to happen.

When asked if there were any plans to introduce Batman as a character, either on Arrow or in his own show, The CW's president Mark Pedowitz explained, "Batman already exists in the Arrowverse because last season Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) mentioned his name. And Batwoman, if the series goes forward, is in Gotham. But there are no plans at all to have Batman appear."

As previously announced, a Batwoman series is in the works, and the character will be revealed in the annual Arrowverse crossover.

While there are no plans for the Dark Knight to make a CW debut, Batman fans do have hope for their dude to show up on TV at some point next season: Fox's Gotham is inching closer and closer to turning baby Bruce Wayne into Batman in its final season.
