In the wake of the announcement that Arnold Schwarzenegger's acting career is on hold comes word that his animated career is as well. TMZ.com reports that the cartoon bearing his nickname and likeness, The Governator, might be terminated.
"In light of recent events, A Squared Entertainment, POW, Stan Lee Comics, and Archie Comics, have chosen to not go forward with the Governator project," a rep for the toon told TMZ. It's unclear whether this is a permanent decision or just for the time being.
In any event, the animated show would have to be retooled in light of Schwarzenegger's very public divorce from Maria Shriver. When the project was announced at the end of March, co-creator Stan Lee said, "We're using all the personal elements of Arnold's life. We're using his wife. We're using his kids."
