In addition to opening the show with the first live performance of "Blank Space," Swift will also receive the first-ever Dick Clark Award for Excellence.

Pitbull, who is returning to host the ceremony, will also take the stage for a performance.

The American Music Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, Nov. 23 at 8/7c on ABC.
