Alias Goodbye, Weiss. What a depressing...

AliasGoodbye, Weiss. What a depressing way for him to depart for his promotion in Washington:, standing all alone while the rest of the agents went back to their work. But hey, he didn't get completely eviscerated by a monster and casually tossed into a treetop. He even got to do a bit of piloting earlier on, making up for his crash landing on that other J.J. Abrams show. Who is that cryogenically frozen guy? Vaughn? Some new big bad? Rambaldi? And why did Renee end up with him? I so don't trust her. But I can't wait to see Balthazar Getty in action. I'm always leery of new additions, and would almost rather see a familiar face like, say, Sark back instead. But agent Thomas Grace seems like he isn't afraid of a fight, and that could liven the place up, especially since Syd can only get in a few good kicks and punches per episode. Oh, and if something is going to happen to that baby, could someone warn me? I've got those crazy raging pregnancy hormones myself, and you don't want to cross me. I can stick around through all this character upheaval, but that would seriously push me over the edge.   Angel Cohn

Well, well, well, those randy little devils. The big story: In the final moments of the episode, Clark and Lana get down and dirty and give in to the throes of love. How Harlequin Romanceof me, right? Anyway, I've been inspired to make some observations and yes, possibly even a confession or two.

1) I guess Powerless Clark is free to go gaga over Lana as much as he wants. But does he have to do it in front of Chloe? That Kent boy can be so insensitive sometimes.
2) Kenny Johnson plays that silly Electro dude who breaks out of Bellerive with the Powder twins. I love, love, love me some Kenny Johnson. Seriously. Many of you know him as "Lemonhead" on FX's The Shield but (Confession No. 1) I used to watch him on Pensacola: Wings of Gold. Please keep that between you and me. I have a rep to protect.
3) Clark tells a shocked Chloe that Pete knows about his powers. That makes me happy. I'm a freak this, I know.
4) Confession No. 2: When Mr. "I'm in Love" tells Ms. Thang she's the only one he's ever loved, my heart sank a little for Chloe. I've kinda jumped on the Clark-Chloe bandwagon. Let me tell you, I never thought that would happen.
5) The black hole that exists between Lex and Clark is getting wider and wider. These two are slowly becoming ex-BFF's. Boooo! (Inevitable, but boooo!)
6) No James Marsters. Whatsupwitdat?
7) Confession No.3: After Clark and Chloe talked about last week's big bads looking for Kal-El, raise your hand if you wanted to direct them to Nicolas Cage's house.  Bettina Charles

"For a minute we were like a Hallmark card, and then it all went to crap...." Andy's assessment of his frustrating, ever-fluctuating relationship with Ephram

Well, that pretty much sums everything up. The dad of the year actually pulled an Emily Gilmore and bribed his son to have dinner with him on a regular basis by giving him 50 bucks per meal. At least it keeps the peace in the Brown family for now. And it is probably better that Ephram is out of the house and living with Bright and their cute gay-doctor roomie. Which in turn might make Bright less compelled to "vacuum all the time and watch the Bravo channel." But while the globe-trotting Ephram has reconnected with his dad with only one screaming match and a long sullen pout is that a new record? and is all buddy-buddy with Bright, he will have a much harder time rekindling his relationship with Amy. Apparently she's over him; she must have had a lot of time to think while shuttling her mom back and forth to doctor's appointments. But the Bright-and-Hannah relationship seems to be moving along sweetly; they get my hands-down vote for the cutest couple on TV. They even made it past Bright's third-date rule... so adorable. The only story line that I was less than impressed with or engaged by tonight was Nina and Dr. Dimples' restaurant opening. Yeah, I get it things change, and you've opened up what looks like every other trendy coffee/sandwich bar in the world. But I don't care if the Everwoodians are stubborn and set in their ways it's a small town, and it would be nice if once in a while something stayed the same. Besides, it was that old-fashioned charm that drew the deceased Mrs. Brown to this town, which kick-started this whole drama in the first place.  AC
