13 Reasons Why Photos Reveal Bryce May Get What's Coming to Him

Will justice be served?

Netflix revealed the first photos from 13 Reasons Why's second season, and while we still have to wait and see if justice will be served in the sexual assaults of Hannah (Katherine Langford) and Jessica (Alisha Boe), the pics do tease that Bryce (Justin Prentice) may get what's coming to him, albeit through unofficial channels.

In one shot, the school counselor Mr. Porter (Derek Luke) is seen holding Bryce up against the wall by the throat. After being forced to face the ways in which he failed Hannah as a counselor last season, it appears as though Mr. Porter may be overcorrecting this season, trying to do whatever it takes to protect the rest of the student body from Bryce's predatory ways, even if it means crossing a few professional lines.

Although Mr. Porter's methods may be questionable, we can relate to the apparent rage he feels towards Bryce, whose wealth and status have thus far protected him from having to face any consequences. But if he continues down this path, there's a good chance he'll lose his job and not be able to help anyone.

The fallout from Bryce sexually assaulting Hannah and Jessica will play a large role in the new season, which will see Jessica learn to cope with her trauma while still being surrounded by the ruthless student body. In another shot of the new season, Jessica is seen testifying in the trial between Hannah's parents and the school district, holding up photos of her on which the phrase "A DRUNK SLUT" has been scrawled.

It appears as though Jessica isn't the only one being harassed this season either. Another photo shows Tony (Christian Navarro) crying, seeking solace in the arms of his boxing trainer Caleb (R.J. Brown), after the back window of his car was seemingly smashed. It's highly likely this vandalism was the act of the unknown person or persons who is doing whatever they can to keep the truth surrounding Hannah's death from coming out at trial.
