It's 2087, it hasn't rained in 50 years, and water is the most precious commodity in the world. One surviving community is that of Lost Wells, an auto junkyard surrounding a spring that is one of the last remaining sources of water on Earth. Bruce Dern stars as the leader of the community who hires a group of mercenaries, including Michael Pare, to defend Lost Wells against a murderous band let by Adam Ant. An amalgam of "Mad Max" movies and THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN, WORLD GONE WILD is notable mainly for Dern's eccentric performance, playing the leader of Lost Wells as a 1960s hippie, complete with fringed leather vest and peace symbols. The film is worth a look for that alone.
