Willie Dynamite Reviews

Orman stars as a New York City pimp in this atypical black exploitation film. He rises to the top of the hustling scene and then tumbles to the bottom. Many of the usual elements are included, especially the flashy costumes, but underneath it all there is an air of morality. Sands (who died of cancer before the film's release) is believable in her role as a prostitute-turned-social-worker who is hardened to the environment and tries to straighten out Orman's and Walker's lives. Songs include: "Willie D," "King Midas," "Keep On Movin' On" (J.J. Johnson, Gilbert Moses III, sung by Martha Reeves and The Sweet Things).
