Stamped out of a familiar mold, THE WEB OF DANGER is set against a backdrop of bridge-building, with Kennedy and O'Flynn as part of a construction crew. Their rivalry is enhanced by their mutual interest in Mara, but a flood and the urgency of finishing the bridge (to help refugees flee the inundated valley) bring them together and put Mara on the back burner.
