Virgin Island Reviews

A unpretentious effort designed to do nothing more than conjure up pleasant thoughts. Cassavetes is the young intellectual who considers life away from the rat race; his meeting with Maskell gives him the perfect mate to while away his time with on a tropical island. The newlyweds buy a small island for $85, set up their love nest with the assistance of a local, Poitier, and live the dream many people have some place in the back of their minds. A baby pops into the picture, providing high drama when he is born while Cassavetes and Maskall are stranded in a boat. Notwithstanding the absence of plot and technical problems, the picture manages to hold up through the performaces of Cassavetes and Poitier.
