Treachery Rides the Range Reviews

Foran did 12 westerns for Warner Brothers and this is near the top of the dozen. Mistreatment of Indians on the buffalo range is the focus, as a couple of buffalo hunters are trying to stir up some trouble with the Cheyennes. Foran's job as an Army captain is to take Stone through Indian country. But she falls in with the bad hunters, who are breaking the treaty her father had set up. Foran can't help because he gets tossed in jail while the Indians go on the warpath. He finally gets out and with help from his special trick horse, catches the crooks and appeases the Indians. He also has time to sing "Ridin' Home" and "Leather and Steel" (M.K. Jerome, Jack Scholl). Famed athlete Jim Thorpe is the leader of the Cheyennes.
