Toughest Man in Arizona Reviews

This was singer Monroe's second attempt at a western and he turns in a good performance. In between the three songs he sings, he plays a US marshal leading the survivors of an Indian attack back to Tombstone, the roughest town in Arizona. Included in the party is Jory, who sold the warring Indians the guns in the first place. After Monroe gets the group to safety, Jory escapes and Monroe has to search for him, leading to an exciting chase. When not shooting, Monroe sings "A Man's Best Friend Is His Horse," "Hound Dog (Bay at the Moon)," and "The Man Don't Live Who Can Die Alone." Leslie is the love interest to whom Monroe sings the latter song as a marriage proposal.
