Tokyo After Dark Reviews

Based on an actual event, this picture presents Long as an American soldier stationed in Japan who has taken a sincere interest in that country's culture, even taking a Japanese fiancee. His behavior varies greatly from the usual bullheaded antics of the troops stationed in Japan, but when he accidentally shoots and kills a Japanese youth, Long becomes the center of controversy. The Japanese use him as an example of the cruel actions the American soldiers are known for, leaving Long in a rather sticky situation. Though the premise has the makings of an intriguing story, the film soon becomes a boring discussion of what Long plans to do. The problem is, he doesn't do anything; he just talks about it, which doesn't make for very interesting viewing.
