The Unguarded Hour Reviews

Tone is a prosecuting attorney in the trial of a man who supposedly pushed his wife off a cliff. There is only one witness, who happens to be a former mistress of Tone's. Unknown to Tone, however, is the fact that his wife, Loretta Young, has been paying blackmailer Daniell to keep harmful letters Tone wrote to his mistress out of the public eye, fearing they will damage his chance to become attorney general. Before long the prosecuting attorney is forced to reveal his past, realizing that his own case parallels the one he is trying. Heavily melodramatic but helped along by an interesting, if not complex, plot.
