From the team that brought forth GODZILLA comes THE MYSTERIANS, creatures from the nuclear destroyed planet of Mysteroid. They've come to Earth in search of women, and their goals are to take over the Earth, procreate with Earth women, and start a new civilization. With a myriad of flying saucers, as well as a giant metallic bird with electronic fire rays beaming from its eyes, the unwelcome visitors nearly succeed in their mission. But with bombs, tanks, and explosions, they are finally destroyed. This picture can be great fun with those wonderful, cheap special effects that always get a good laugh, unless the audience is looking for realism. Originally this film was released in the U.S. by RKO studios. However, owner Howard Hughes closed down the works shortly after purchasing the distribution rights to THE MYSTERIANS, and sold it to MGM.
