The Mummy's Hand Reviews

First of the follow-ups to Boris Karloff's classic THE MUMMY, which has very little to do with the original. Zucco stars as the crazed high priest who revives the mummy (now named Kharis) and sends him out to kill everyone who has defiled the tomb. Cowboy star Tyler, as the mummy, shuffles off to strangle the explorers until he meets the lovely Moran whom he brings back to the temple and wants to make his bride. Zucco thinks it a fine idea and brews up a batch of tana leaves to make them all immortal, but Foran and Ford enter the tomb, shoot Zucco three times, and watch as he tumbles down a very long flight of Egyptian steps, spilling the tana juice all over. Tyler is taken care of when he is set on fire while trying to clean up the mess on the floor. Really low-budget with over 10 minutes of footage from the Karloff film and the stunning tomb set left over from GREEN HELL. The best of the mummy series of the 1940s.
