After learning of the 100,000-plus horses slaughtered annually, lifelong equestrian enthusiast Jill Curtis would go on to create Shiloh, a rescue for these otherwise condemned animals. This documentary follows Jill and her husband Tony Curtis on a journey that is both joyous and tragic; as they celebrate the rescue of their 400th horse, rare footage of a slaughter auction provides a somber reminder of the many horses who have met a grimmer fate. Along with fellow activist Bo Derek, Jill and Tony travel to Washington D.C. in hopes of encouraging legislation to ban the slaughter of horses in the United States.
