The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh Reviews

Julius Erving stars in this thinly plotted basketball comedy as a multimillion-dollar player who is the only member of a fictitious Pittsburgh NBA franchise not to walk out on the team when it proves incapable of beating anyone. The water boy (Bond) suggests that the team recruit players whose astrological signs are the same as that of Erving; after astrologer Channing is consulted, the ranks of the Pittsburgh team are filled with Pisces. Suddenly, they start winning games (as if you couldn't guess). Dr. J does his best in his underdeveloped role, and Harlem Globetrotter Meadowlark Lemon and Laker great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar also appear. Long on disco music and short on humor, THE FISH THAT SAVED PITTSBURGH is about as entertaining and memorable as a sports celebrity Miller Lite commercial.
