The Devil's Wedding Night Reviews

An inquisitive archaeologist and his twin brother (both played by Damon) learn that the infamous Nibelungen Ring, said to have supernatural powers, is being worn by a demon countess (Bay, from LADY FRANKENSTEIN) who bathes in the blood of virgins. When one of the brothers stupidly goes off to Transylvania by himself to obtain the ring, the other follows and finds that the countess has already turned his twin into a vampire. Ineptly made, fairly gory, and with lots of nudity--mostly from Bay--this is yet another horror film based on the notorious Countess Elizabeth Bathory, who actually had virgins murdered and their throats slit, then bathed in their blood to improve her complexion. Bathory is credited with murdering 611 persons before Hungarian authorities tried her in 1611, ordering her walled up in her rooms, where three years later she died. Unfortunately, the story you just read is more interesting than this film.
