In the 1930s, two English spinster sisters, Joyce (Flora Robson) and Ellie (Beryl Reid), brick up their brother, Stephen (Dafydd Harvard), in the cellar so that he won't have to go to war. Thirty years later, Stephen, now quite insane, breaks out of his prison and terrorizes the neighborhood, committing a series of gory murders. The somewhat embarrassed sisters must now clean up after their maniacal sibling. The potentially interesting premise is undone by an extremely chatty script.
