Haphazard and stilted production has Clarke playing the son of the famous Count of Monte Cristo and the victim of a scheme by O'Herlihy to get at his wealth. Clarke is framed for a murder, then forced into a wedding that will turn all his money over to the widow. He escapes just in time to clear himself. Boring.
