Sunnyside Reviews

John Travolta's younger brother tried to emulate John's success with SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER in this nonsense. The younger Travolta makes his film debut playing a street kid trying to help his neighborhood by taking on the Savage Warlocks, a local street gang. Once that task is completed, he plans to move to Manhattan and settle down with Pickren. Travolta does a mean imitation of his brother but not much more in this poorly scripted mess. The film is loaded with bad dialog and implausible situations. The direction is unbelievably bad, injecting high camera angles that ultimately work against the little drama found here. The producers apparently wanted to cash in on the musical bonanza SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER created for the soundtrack album business, packing this film with plenty of forgettable pop tunes.
