Sudden Death Reviews

It's time to make a stand: We like Jean-Claude Van Damme. Not only could he kick Steven Seagal's bloated butt -- just try to imagine Mr. Ponytail executing that 180-degree split -- but his accent is much less distracting than Schwarzenegger's (or Stallone's, for that matter). Here, Belgium's most successful export item is enjoying a nice evening out at a hockey game with his kids. But evil extortionist Powers Boothe has a fiendishly clever plan to take 17,000 fans hostage, including the Vice President (like we care) and Jean-Claude's adorable little daughter. This makes Jean-Claude real mad, and the next thing you know, it's DIE HARD on ice. Good clean fun, with just the right ratio of explosions to dialogue.
