South Pacific Trail Reviews

In this western, Barcroft plays the foreman of a ranch owned by Rodriguez' grandfather, Paiva. Barcroft plots the crash of a train carrying $1 million in gold, causing it to disappear down an old mine shaft located on the ranch. Paiva is believed to be one of the passengers who dies in the crash, but in reality he escapes death by stepping off the train at a depot and is left behind. He takes off on a three-week drive with Allen, and Evans, believing Paiva dead, moves onto the ranch and tries to take over its assets. Allen returns and attempts to stop the scam. Evans then teams up with Barcroft and together they try to drown Allen. But in the predictable ending, the good guys (Allen and Paiva) triumph over the outlaws. Songs include: "Ride Away Your Troubles," "The Railroad Corral," "I'll Sing a Love Song."
