Song of Kentucky Reviews

Creaky early talkie has Moran falling in love with songwriter Reavis, although she is engaged to cad Gilmore. When Gilmore discovers her romance, he arranges to have Reavis framed for a crime. Moran believes the charges and agrees to marry Gilmore, but only if her horse loses the Kentucky Derby. It does lose, and just before the ceremony she goes to a concert where Reavis is conducting. The charges against him are proven false, and the lovers live happily ever after. Sources conflict on the basis for the film: some credit a book by Conrad, Mitchell, and Gottler, and others cite a story by Brennan.
