Shoot the Moon Reviews

A patently phony attempt to cash in on the yuppie lifestyle, SHOOT THE MOON features Albert Finney as George Dunlap, a successful writer, and Diane Keaton as his wife, Faith. Married 15 years, they have four young daughters and live in trendy Marin County, just north of San Francisco. Ennui has replaced passion in their marriage and they split up. George starts an affair with Sandy (Karen Allen), while Faith finds solace with Frank (Peter Weller), the contractor for the tennis court the Dunlaps are building, and the four kids do their best to try and get their parents together. Finney and Keaton each have their heavy dramatic moments, but there is nothing in writer Bo Goldman's script that hasn't been seen and heard in a thousand other films.
