She Dances Alone Reviews

This picture concentrates on efforts to make a documentary about the daughter of the famous Russian dancer Nijinsky. Along the way it sheds light on the woman, then 60 years old, who had tried to pursue her own career as a dancer, with the problems and profits of such illustrious forbears. Kyra turns out to be quite a woman in her own right. Dornhelm does a decent job of combining seemingly unrelated parts into a finely tuned whole. Although this was primarily a US independent production, Austrian television played an important role in the proceedings. (In English.)
