Shadow of Fear Reviews

Decent suspense mystery stars Freeman as a woman returning to England because of the death of her mother and father. The deaths seem to be from natural causes, but Freeman's intuition tells her that her stepmother, Kent, who was a nurse to the late pair, had something to do with it. But she can't convince the authorities, especially because Kent is a well-respected member of the town and completely above suspicion. Freeman is in line for a hefty inheritance from her late father as soon as she turns 21, and while investigating the deaths, she realizes her own life is in danger. Every bit of information Freeman finds seems to fit her stepmother's story but, finally, her stepmother slips up and the truth is revealed. The strong point of the film is the credibility Kent gives the story.
