Seizure Reviews

Director Oliver Stone's unpromising debut. This rather lame excuse for a horror picture features Jonathan Frid, the star of television's only horror soap opera, "Dark Shadows." He's a mystery writer who conjures up living characters from his novels and uses them to murder his wife and her guests. The materialized beings include a hairy dwarf ("Fantasy Island" regular Herve Villechaize), an evil queen (Beswick), and a giant (Baker). Victims include Mary Woronov (EATING RAOUL), but not even she can save this. Was it all, in the end, a dream? A bad cop-out to a very bad movie. Director-writer Stone who would later direct another unintentionally laughable horror film, THE HAND.
