Dashing "Mesquiteer" Stony Brooke (Livingston) takes on a dual role this time out, first as a law-abiding panhandler trying to bring peace to the community, and then as "The Laredo Kid," a blackhat who gets killed early on, but is impersonated by Livingston in order to defeat the gang.
