Robbery Under Arms Reviews

Set in Australia during the mid-1800s, this tale centers on Finch's outlaw gang and its escapades through the open landscape down under. Lewis and McCallum join the gang but soon wish they were living a decent life. They blow their chance at freedom, and in the end the entire gang is put out of commission. Nothing more than a British western set in Australia. At the time, the J. Arthur Rank Organization took an extreme interest in Australia and other commonwealth countries, with a distributing deal for English-made films through Australia's Greater Union Theatres; reciprocally, the Rank Organization felt compelled to make pictures dealing with Australia, and to distribute them widely.
