Young Midge (Edith Fellows) persuades her father, Colonel Griner (Granville Bates), to enter their colt in the Kentucky Derby. Surprisingly, it loses the race and jockey Danny Lowman (James McCallion) is suspended. The mystery is cleared up when it's discovered the racehorse is blind, but notwithstanding this handicap, the dogged Griners and the spirited steed team up to win the Grand National and reinstate Danny. A pleasant offering.
