Please Turn Over Reviews

This consistently funny British comedy revolves around a precocious, suburban teenage girl, Lockwood, who writes a steamy best-selling novel called Naked Revolt based on the scandals to be found in her neighborhood. This causes much craziness when her neighbors all begin treating each other as if they were the actual fictitious characters in the girl's novel. Lockwood's father, Ray, is suddenly looked upon as a swindler and philanderer, her aunt as a drunk, her uncle and mother as lovers; and the girl herself as a teenage hooker. Done with taste and good humor, PLEASE TURN OVER is a witty and insightful look at suburban paranoia and morals. This was one of the first major roles for Julia Lockwood, daughter of renowned British actress Margaret Lockwood. A leading lady in her own right, the younger Lockwood first appeared in films at the age of 5.
