Four wealthy men set up their own kidnapings to escape from their wives and get a little vacation. Wnen one of them, Bromberg, a bank manager, steals the ransom money, law student Baldwin and tasteful reporter Lang go on the trail of the double-crosser. Not much in this for the players or the audience, though some good names grace the cast. In the case of Toler, he had been doing good work as a character actor since he entered films early in the sound era. As a result, he was entrusted with the title role in the "Charlie Chan" series soon after the release of ONE WILD NIGHT, following the death of the all-time favorite Chan, Warner Oland.
