An aristocrat (Pauline Frederick) attempts to destroy her son's marriage to the daughter of a gambling czar. Kent Taylor, Claire Trevor. Barney: Paul Kelly. Roger: Thomas Beck. Elizabeth: Helen Wood. Hood: Noel Madison. Mrs. Dolan: Beryl Mercer. Pat: Lynn Bari. Vaile: Henry Kolker. George Archainbaud directed.

Trevor's a girl whose father has been murdered by gangsters. She's about to marry Taylor, but his mother (Frederick) doesn't want that sort of riffraff mixed up with her family of bluebloods, and consents to the marriage only because she wants the chance to break it up. However, when it is revealed that her other son (Beck) was inadvertently involved with the murder of Trevor's father, Mom gives her blessing to the wedding. Pure soap opera, with some nice photography of posh country estates, MY MARRIAGE suffers from weak dialog and definitely calls for more spice than was served up. Frederick is wonderfully bitchy as the mother-in-law who eats some humble pie.
