My Girl Tisa Reviews

Immigrants arriving in America in 1902 go through a series of episodic adventures. Tamiroff is a cruel sweatshop owner; Haas is a travel agent taking advantage of greenhorns; and Wanamaker, in one of his first films, is a young would-be lawyer. He wants to help Palmer in her efforts to get her father to America. The film is refreshing in its look at the plight of the immigrant, but falls down at the end when Blackmer is awkwardly brought in as the famous president in an unneeded bit of historical name-dropping.
