Danielle Panabaker offers an honest and touching portrayal of a 16-year-old girl agonizing over what's in the best interest of a child born out of wedlock. Mercedes Ruehl costars as the teen's loving but domineering mother, who moves her family to a new town so that she can raise the baby as her own. The movie also features a strong performance by Jane Krakowski, playing a high-school guidance counselor who, with her husband (Colin Ferguson), is considering adoption. Macy: Clare Stone.
